Joshua Sonnier

A 4th generation Texan, Joshua was born in Nederland, Tx. Growing up, he lived in inner-city Dallas, rural east Texas, the wetlands of southeast Texas and The Woodlands. Before graduating high school, Joshua enlisted into the Navy under an SO contract.

After receiving a Medical Discharge from the Navy SEAL program in 2011, Joshua followed his high school sweetheart, now wife, and found himself in College Station, Tx where he began his career in real estate. He specialized in property management & locating services in the Bryan/College Station market while attending Texas A&M. In 2015, Joshua earned his broker’s license and founded a local property management & locating service. Joshua also began investing in real estate, purchasing a duplex in 2017 utilizing house hacking strategies.

In 2017, Joshua graduated from Texas A&M with a master’s degree in land & property development. He shifted from property management and began working as a Project Manager for a private real estate company that specialized in multifamily construction and development. His expertise in navigating new growth markets expanded across Texas, including Leander, Mansfield, Midland, and College Station; in addition to the established metroplexes of DFW, San Antonio and Austin. After closing $250 million in multifamily projects, Joshua moved into large-scale single-family land development, in Houston, Tx.

Joshua is married to Brianne who is a local elementary school librarian. They have a Corgi Australian shepherd mix named Bella. In Joshua’s free time, he competes in endurance sports. In April of 2023, Joshua earned the “IRONMAN” title by competing in the (140.6) Ironman Texas. When it is not racing season, you can find Josh skiing the champagne powder of Mt. Werner in Steamboat Springs, CO.

With the well of experience accumulated over his career in the real estate industry, in addition to the discipline and work-ethic carried along the journey, Joshua is a great resource to utilize when managing, buying, selling, or development real assets.
